No two babies are the same and nor do they have exactly the same needs. They are all individuals with unique needs. New parents are often worried about whether they are feeding their baby or introducing soft, solid foods correctly. Please keep in mind that experts recommend that babies should start eating natural baby foods at 6 months.
Homemade baby food recipes are age appropriate for those babies who are 6 months.
Most paediatricians suggest sticking to the basics (cereal, vegetables and fruits). Of course these recipes are also mouth watering for babies who are older as well.
Oatmeal Cereal
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of ground oats (do NOT use instant or Quick Cook), ground in blender or food processor
3/4 cup – 1 cup water

Carrots

You can also mash the banana in a bowl using a regular fork – heat in microwave for 25 seconds prior to mashing for extra softness
Add formula/breast milk or water to thin or add cereal (if desired) to thicken up.
Never give foods that can easily cause choking. Some examples include raw vegetables, peanuts, popcorn, meat, and grapes. You also have to test the food while introducing it to your baby to check for any allergic reactions. Introduce one new food at a time and you can wait up for 3 days before introducing another type of food.
