Tips on How to Conceive a Baby Boy
Baby acne is not uncommon among newborns and is known as “infantile acne”. It is likely to appear on babies cheeks but may also strike chins and foreheads of newborns. When a baby is born with infantile acne, the period of which it will remain is from 2 weeks to 2 months. Worst case scenario 6 months on an infant. If it persists seek doctors advice.
At this moment, some parents might be worried but only time can heal this problem. It can be said to be related to hormones in the baby which is passed down by the mother through breast milk so take care in your own diet. However, there are good and bad hormones that are passed down. These hormones will eventually fade away and results are clean, rosy cheeks of your baby.
If your baby develops baby acne, there is no need to worry. Your baby will not be in any discomfort or have any distress related to the rash. The skin may look red and angry but do your best to ignore it as it is only temporary.
Avoid over-washing the baby – babies have delicate skin that can dry out easily with detergents. Resist any temptation to pick, squeeze or burst any pus-filled spots (pustules). This would make a skin infection more likely to occur. Creams and lotions are not required for the rash. If you are already using products to wash and moisturise your baby it is fine to continue using them but ensure they are fragrance-free and ph balanced designed for use in babies.
