Dr Brad Robinson Obstetrician, Gynaecologist & Fertility MD
It was on a trip through some of the most impoverished parts of Africa that Brad decided to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.
Dr Brad Robinson subsequently graduated from medicine and, after completing his residency, commenced specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology. Placements at the Townsville Hospital, the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and Caboolture Hospital, saw him gain invaluable experience caring for women through their pregnancies, labours, and deliveries. During this time he also won the prestigious Crown Street Medal for his research into threatened pre-term labour.
Brad then undertook two years of specialised gynaecology training in Adelaide, focusing on urogynecology and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He also completed a Masters of Reproductive Medicine.
Brad has managed the safe delivery of more than 800 babies and is well known for his calm and friendly demeanour, and patient-focused care. As well as his enduring love of obstetrics, Brad has special interests in the management of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, and the menopause.
He lives in Brisbane with his wife Rebecca, their three young children, and their much-loved dog, Chewie.
When he’s not working Brad spends his time trying to stay fit, watching sport, and struggling to beat his five-year-old daughter at Snakes and Ladders.
