Parenting Skills
Everybody knows that parenting is not an easy task, children are not pre-programmed with guides for you to easily learn how to take care of them. Good parenting does not come as an innate characteristic of both parents, but rather the parents must both learn it through advice or first-hand experience and they should anticipate that skills are sometimes difficult to learn and sometimes learnt the hard way. You may ask what makes “good” parents different from “just” parents, how would you determine if what you are doing is the correct way of caring for and supporting your child?
Though children go through the same basic course of growth and development, children still need individualised care and support from you as their parents being their primary support system. The journey of parenting is not predictable. It is an erratic world of challenges and worries. Often couples having a child for the first time don’t even know how to get through the first year of having a baby or struggling through the toddler years. Nevertheless, you must know the basic premises of raising children for you to be a good parent. From these basic principles, you can create your own ways of effectively carrying out your duties as primary care givers and support systems for your child. Taking care of children is a task that should be carried out with determination and perseverance of both parents.

Be Your Toddler’s Best Friend
During the toddler stage, your child begins to go through a wide array of developmental changes compared to when they were immobile and just getting the hang of walking and moving.
