Being a single mum with a very active little one, I’ve learnt to try and make things as easy as possible for myself. This gives me more time for the really important stuff, like spending more time with my bub or catching up on much-needed sleep. When the opportunity to try out the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep came knocking, I had to give it a whirl and I’m so glad I did – it’s a dream!
First Look
I received the new black Perfect Prep machine which went quite nicely with my kitchen. It looked slick and shiny and was really compact so I didn’t feel like it was cluttering up the space (which I’m very OCD about). I’m sure there were instructions in the box but to be fair, once plugged in, it was super simple to set up, as you just follow the steps on the light up digital display.
Effectiveness
Before I had the Perfect Prep machine, I was using a thermos with a temperature display. But it would mean that for some feeds I’d still be calculating the right time to prep the bottle so that it would cool down for serving or I’d be running it under cold water for those urgent feeds. Now….I don’t stand over a bottle warmer wondering if it’s the right temp and I couldn’t even tell you where that thermos is! I’m no longer clock watching or worrying about when I need to start thinking about prepping her bottle. Within minutes I have it ready to go at the perfect temperature.
The digital display walks you through each stage of bottle prep, starting with bottle size through to a ‘hot shot’ and ending with cool water to ensure that the perfect temperature is reached. It alerts you when your water is running low and it even comes with an anti-bacterial filter so you really don’t have to think about a thing. There’s soft gentle lighting throughout the machine including the display and you can adjust the volume of the alerts, so for those night time feeds it is literally as it states; Perfect!
Outcomes/Benefits
Since this new addition to our kitchen, I genuinely feel less stressed about my little one’s feeds because I know it’ll only take a couple of minutes and she’ll be drinking her milk. There’s no more distressed cries (from either of us!). In fact, in the daytime, she really enjoys watching as I use the Perfect Prep as she loves the gentle lights and sounds it makes as it goes. My mum even loves to use it and we’re no longer arguing about whether the bottle feels too hot to serve or not!
Whether you’re a first-time mum or thereafter, I would highly recommend giving this product a go.
There’s everything you need to start off in the kit; bottle, milk storage lid and because there’s also the filter, you can just use water straight from your tap! And you don’t even have to worry if you don’t have many, or any, Tommee Tippee bottles because it can be used with most brands so no need to rush out and buy a whole new set, making it totally affordable and worth every cent. And the best bit? More time to play with your precious little ones, or getting some shuteye and less time fussing over prepping those bottles for feeding time!
