As a first time parent to a 7mth old little girl, we have had our fare share of sleep struggles to date. She used to sleep quite well and through the night but now, she often wakes, sometimes crying and sometimes wanting to play. So, it was great timing when I was given the opportunity to try the Tommee Tippee Dreammaker.
FIRST LOOK
After so many sleepless nights and trying all sorts of tricks and tips to get bubs to sleep, I was reluctant to believe the hype about the Tommee Tippee Dreammaker. This small little device however, was a very welcomed surprise.
It’s super compact and easy to setup – I didn’t even need instructions!. The best thing is, that it’s small enough I’m able to take it anywhere we go – all that is needed is a USB plug!
EFFECTIVENESS
It’s incredible that this neat little package has so many features and it has truly been amazing with calming the little one down and getting her ready for bedtime. It helps set the ideal sleep environment without stimulating her and I’ve noticed a huge improvement as she sleeps through most of the night now. To be perfectly honest, it even soothes me to sleep and has really helped with my anxiety and relaxes me, giving me an even deeper sleep as well as bubs.
OUTCOME/BENEFITS
Imitating the natural sounds of the womb, the pink noise makes little ones feel safer and more comfortable in a familiar surrounding, aiding a better sleep. The pulsing light, which can be adjusted and even turned off, helps baby to control their breathing and encourages slow, deep breaths and induces sleep.
The gentle, soothing red light, with 3 levels of brightness, allows the production of melatonin and relaxes the body so it won’t stimulate or disturb you during sleep. And if that wasn’t enough, the cry sensor will detect her cries, turning back on automatically, settling her back to sleep. Miracle Machine!!
RECOMMENDATIONS
It’s a pretty incredible little device and I would highly recommend the Tommee Tippee Dreammaker to everyone for their newborns and even for older bubs and kids. It’s really relaxing and so so easy to use. It’s easily portable and the top tap function to turn on and off makes it simple to navigate in the dark. I would like to have seen a plug included or be able to use it without being plugged in but aside from that – can’t really fault it.
