I was really happy when I was approached to test run the Medela Nursing and Maternity bra and tank top for NBB. Deciding what to wear on a daily basis when breastfeeding, I find, frustrating and limiting. There are so many times when I have been out and about and I’ve gone to feed my 3 month old little man and I’m fumbling about with my t-shirt and maternity bra to get access just to feed! It actually takes its toll and  is exhausting!

Medela Nursing Tank and Bra

First Looks

Both the Medela tank and bra look comfortable on first looks, let’s be honest they aren’t the sexiest piece of clothing to ever be worn but both are seam free and tag free which is great and can easily be worn under clothes without being noticeable. The thick straps are supportive and the one handed “open-and-close” clip blends into the bra for a seamless sleek look.

The four way stretch is great as it lends to both maternity and nursing wear. The stretch and length of the tank is amazing and can be worn while pregnant as it easily stretches over the belly.

When nursing the tank top nicely hides all the lumps and bumps we all have post birth. The wire free tank and bra means you can also wear them to bed and won’t dig into your breasts when they are at their tenderest.

Ease of Use

Both the bra and tank have one handed nursing clips which are easily released with one hand and are just as easy to reconnect once you have finished feeding.

I loved that there isn’t extra fabric across the top of the breast allowing for greater access for bubs to feed.

The bra and tank also have adjustable straps for a well fitted and supportive nursing garment.

Medela Nursing Tank and BraFit

I’m generally quite petite around the shoulders and generally wear a size 6-8 top. Even though I went up a few cup sizes when my milk came in I still went for a size small in both the bra and the tank and found both fit really well.

Again the four way stretch means that you have the ability to wear the same size for both pregnancy and nursing as fabric adjusts to your changing shape. I’m 5 ft 4 inches and even while nursing, the size small tank still sat nicely over my jeans and on my hips.

Medela Nursing Tank and BraRecommendation

The soft, thick fabric and easy to use “open-and-close” clip makes the tank and bra easy and comfortable to wear.

The tank is a fabulous option for out and about as all you need to do is throw on a cardigan or jacket for an easy to access nursing option.

I would absolutely recommended both the Medela Nursing bra and tank top to both pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.
