When asked to trial The Euky Bear Warm Steam Vaporiser, I was very excited!
First Look
The unit itself is not the prettiest looking piece of nursery furniture but being mostly clear it just blends into the background.
I was impressed with the large water reserve, no need to worry about it running out through the night.
The electrical component requires a good twist to lock it in place so I know it’s safe from little toddler hands trying to open it. The cord was long enough to reach from the power point to a safe distance from my baby.
Useful Features
Large water reserve – means the unit can operate for over 14 hours before needing a refill. I found I was able to set it up at bath time and by the time baby was ready for bed his room was warm, steamy and had the most refreshing eucalyptus smell. It also meant it was still working away in the morning when he woke up.
Compact unit – enough that it can easily be moved from room to room so you could have it set up in the bedroom or a play space.
Safety night light – no fear of bumping into it if you get up for a night time feed or to check on your baby.
Heating unit locks into place – my toddler was quite curious about the unit but was unable to open it. It’s important though to ensure the unit is away from curious hands when it is in operation as the steam can get hot.
Whisper quiet – you honestly wouldn’t know it was on just from the sound. In case you do forget it is on, and it runs out of water, the unit has a built-in safety switch to prevent overheating.
Effectiveness
Maybe it’s a coincidence, we’ll never know but after a week of unsettled sleep with a really congested nose, I started using the Euky Bear Warm Steam Vaporiser and my baby has slept all through the night for the past 3 nights for the first time ever!
The warm steam helps to clear phlegm and shift that congestion from a tight chest and stuffy nose making breathing easier. The soothing inhalant has aromas of eucalyptus and menthol as well as rosemary for calmness. The stream is surprisingly strong and was easily suited to my baby’s small nursery as well as my toddler’s much larger bedroom.
Recommendation
The Euky Bear Warm Steam Vaporiser is comparable in price to most other vaporisers on the market. The long run time and its super quiet run features make it a better buy than some others.
I would happily recommend the Euky Bear Steam Vaporiser to other mums. I love how quiet it is and the beautiful lingering aromas in the nursery is reason enough to buy it.
The fact it really has helped keep my babies airways clear and brought about relief from a congested nose is an added bonus. The warm steam kills off bacteria so I know I’m not adding to his problem and the large water reserve brings peace of mind that it will work all through the night.
The fact it comes with a 5-year warranty gives me confidence that this is a product I can continue to use for many more winters.
