Based on a legend, Chinese calendar chart was discovered by a Chinese Scientist who also made this chart. The Chinese calendar chart was found buried in a royal tomb about 700 years ago. By using the mother’s age at conception and the month of conception, supposedly you can determine with high accuracy if your baby is a boy or a girl.

Is The Chinese Gender Calendar Accurate?

An amazing feature about Chinese gender calendar chart is that it can predict the sex of the baby even before a woman even conceives. According to a survey, they find the accuracy rate of this method less than 75%. However, most Chinese say that the Chinese gender calendar chart is over 90% accurate when is only used properly.

How To Use It Properly?

Chinese gender calendar chart is thought to be able to predict the gender of the baby by matching the age of the mother and the month in which she conceived.

Upon using Chinese gender calendar, it is important to bear in mind that you need to use the Chinese lunar month and your lunar age when trying to find out if the unborn baby is going to be a girl or a boy. If you fail to convert the month conception of your age, you have a low percentage of getting an accurate result.

Chinese Lunar Month

There are12 lunar months of 29 or 30 days (an astronomical lunar month is 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 5 seconds) in Chinese Lunar Calendar. The new moon is where Chinese based their first day of each month. The full moon is usually scheduled on the 15th day of the month using a typical calendar that we use, but often doesn’t.

Chinese Lunar Age

The Chinese Lunar New Year does not begin on the 1st of January. Rather, it happens between January 22 and February 22. Chinese people usually count their age beginning from their date of birth and when they are born they are already one year old. The usual child that celebrates his/her 1st birthday is actually the 2nd lunar age of a Chinese baby. Every Chinese lunar New Year which will you transverse, counts for one year more whatever your month of birth is.

A sample situation:
The woman wants to find out her Chinese lunar age in the year 2010. If the woman was born on or after February 22 (after the Chinese New Year), 1970 then her Chinese lunar age is simply +1 = 41 years old.

However, if the woman was born before February 22, 1970 then her lunar age is 2010 ? 1969 + 1 = 42 years old.

Chinese gender calendar chart?s accuracy may not be so reliable all the time, nevertheless it can be quite fun to use if you are pregnant or planning to have a baby with a gender preference.
