Model proudly dispalys her “tiger stripes” while shooting down abortion claims

Australian born international model Robyn Lawley has hit back at claims she considered an abortion to avoid stretch marks.

The claims were made in a media report which pieced together parts of a private conversation between Lawley and her friend.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model took to social media to shoot down the remarks. Her comments were posted along side a selfie which proudly displayed her stretchmarks.

“I was shocked not only because that is not what I said, not to mention I already had a tonne of stretch marks like 90 percent of the world, but to read that entire article and be already heavily pregnant, that’s their angle?” she wrote.

“As for my stretch marks I knew they were coming and as they’re fading into white, I thought I might capture them because they are some bad ass tiger stripes. And I earned them.”

The 26-year-old, who gave birth to her daughter Ripley in February and is known as a “plus size” model, also had a message for other new mums dealing with the constant pressure to bounce back or maintain a particular body shape.

“We put an unbelievable amount of ridiculous time consuming pressure on women to care so much about their flaws they forget how truly beautiful they are today.

“F— them, who cares, be you, be loud, be proud. And put your efforts into skills that rely more on your physical self.”
